Crocheting cushion covers is fun! They are quick and easy to make. Just make a square and keep going round and round until you have the size you require. Make a second square to match and join three sides. Insert your cushion and join the fourth side, or insert a zip or popper opening if desired.
Choose the colours to fit your decor. In the photos are some of the many cushion covers my mother made. Interestingly, she had always preferred pastel shades early in her life, but when she had dementia in her nineties she chose bright and sometimes clashing colours.
A crochet needle may be used even when there is comparatively little movement in the fingers and my mother was also able to crochet during the early onset of dementia and continued to do so for a while even with failing eyesight
