Begin: Using C1: 8 ch, join into a ring with sl st

Row 1: C1: 2 ch, 2 tr, 3 ch, *3 tr, 3 ch into ring*, rep from * to * twice, sl st to first 2 ch
Row 2: C2: sl st to first sp (2ch, 2 tr, 3 ch, 3 tr) into first 3 ch sp, *(1ch, 3 tr, 3 ch, 3 tr) into next 3 ch sp*, rep from * to * twice, ending 1 ch, sl st to join
Row 3: C1: sl st to first sp (2 ch, 2 tr, 3 ch, 3 tr) into first 3 ch sp, *1 ch, 3 tr into 1 ch sp (1 ch, 3 tr, 3 ch, 3 tr) into each corner*, rep from * to *, 1 ch, 3 tr, into 1 ch sp, ending 1 ch, sl st to join

Row 1: 8 pineapple sts (*yrh, insert hook, yrh, draw through a loop* 4 times in st, yrh, draw through 9 loops on hook) in ring, with 1 ch between each st, sl st into first st to close
Row 2: 1 pineapple st into space after sl st; *2 ch, 1 pineapple st in next space, 2 ch (2 tr, 2 ch, 2 tr) in next pineapple st, 2 ch, 1 pineapple st. in next space*, After group of tr at end of row make 2 ch, and sl st into first pineapple st
Row 3: 1 pineapple st in space before sl; st, *(2ch, 1 pineapple st) in each space, to corner, 2 ch (2 tr, 2 ch, 2 tr) between 2 groups of 2 tr at corner*, 2 ch, 1 sl st into first st
Row 4: Repeat this last row, working one more pineapple st on each side on each round until there are 8 pineapple sts to each side
