So many of the things our grandparents did by hand are churned out in factories in their millions but they seldom replace that special individuality in detail and quality of the hand-made item.
The pleasure gained from creating things by hand brings not only a huge sense of achievement but also the knowledge that the skill is being preserved for posterity is immensely satisfying.
