Free Knitting Pattern No. 5: Cosy Slippers



Materials:
Under 100g  Chunky (12 ply) yarn;  1 pair UK Size 4 (6mm; US 10) Knitting Needles
Abbreviations: Approx: Approximately; g: grammes (US grams); mm: millimetres; sts: stitches; k: knit; p: purl; ins: inches; cms: centimetres; tog: together; rem: remain
Cast on 30 sts.
1st Row: k into back of each st to end
2nd Row: *k9, p12, k9
3rd Row:  k*
Rep from * to * until work measures 5.5ins (14cms)
Next Row: **k2tog, k to last 2 sts, k2tog
Next Row: k**
Rep from ** to ** until 18sts rem
Next Row: k
Cut yarn leaving a long tail
Thread yarn through rem 18 sts and pull up and secure.
Leaving a 4in (10cm) gap for ankle sew up toe. Break yarn and sew up ankle seam.  Fasten off. 


Make them in your choice of colour!


They are ever so comfy!  You won't want to take them off!


They stretch out snuggly to fit funny-shaped feet!
